Sustainability and a greener future are prioritized by the museum

The museum will be the first of its kind in the Middle East to receive a Platinum Certification for Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design, the highest rating for green buildings in the world. It will be powered by 4,000 megawatts of solar energy in partnership with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. Eighty plant varieties, complete with automated watering and greywater recycling systems, adorn the park that encircles the museum. The museum has charging stations for electric cars. Parking spots are restricted to promote public transportation use. A 212-meter bridge connects the profile to the Emirates Towers metro station.
